Ona sweltering night, Martine tossed and turned in her bed, sweat streaming down her face like a waterfall. She flipped her pillow for the umpteenth time, thinking, “Oh, if only there was something to cool me down!”
Suddenly, a strange sound emanated from the corner of the room. “Whoosh!” Martine bolted upright, her eyes darting around until they landed on a floating apparition.
“Don’t be afraid,” the ghost said softly. “I’m here to help.”
Martine was so shocked she couldn’t utter a word. The ghost continued, “I’ve seen you suffering in this heat. Let me help you cool down.”
The spectral figure began waving its translucent hands, and a cool breeze swept through the room. Martine instantly felt relief wash over her.
“That’s amazing!” she exclaimed. “Thank you so much!”
The ghost smiled and replied, “You’re welcome. But I can only do this for tonight. Tomorrow, you’ll need to buy a Tower Fan for your bedroom. It will keep you cool every night without waiting for a ghost to come to your rescue.”
Martine nodded in understanding. “I see. I’ll definitely get a Tower Fan for my bedroom first thing tomorrow.”
The ghost smiled once more before vanishing, leaving behind a comfortably cool bedroom for Martine.
